About Outage Ready Family

Outage Ready Family is run by Zach Huffsmith through Freedom Empowering Capital Management LLC in Colorado. It is a sister site to Watt Weekender, which covers portable power stations.

We care about two things: keeping families safe and choosing cleaner, quieter options (like battery and solar backup instead of fuel) where they make sense.

How we write

• Safety guidance comes from public agencies (Ready.gov/FEMA, CDC, USDA, NFPA, CPSC), linked on each page.
• Product specs come from manufacturer pages. We do not claim hands-on or lab testing we have not done.
• We update pages when guidance changes and show the date at the top.

This site is general information, not professional emergency, medical, legal, or electrical advice. In an emergency, call 911 and follow local officials.
